Yes, I agree. Not laying the burden of investigating and convicting someone in the span of nine measly hours on us would be a good start. None of us asked for this.
I do keep trying to remind myself of that. That theorizing baselessly will just lead to more confusion and anxiety than necessary, but it's so easy to let the mind wander in situations like this.
